Thane: Dombivli Shocked by Teen’s Suicide Over App Argument with Father

Thane, 24th June 2024: In Thane district, a tragic incident unfolded where a 16-year-old girl reportedly took her own life in Dombivli’s Nilje area after an argument with her father over downloading a messaging app on her mobile phone, police revealed on Monday.

According to officials from Manpada police station, the incident occurred on Friday night. The girl had installed the Snapchat application against her father’s wishes, leading to a dispute. This resulted in her allegedly hanging herself from the ceiling of her bedroom later that night. Her family discovered her lifeless body the following day.

Upon receiving the report, the police conducted a postmortem examination and registered a case of accidental death.
