Teen Sleepwalker Dies After Falling from Sixth Floor in Mumbai
Mumbai, 1st July 2024: A 19-year-old man with a sleepwalking condition died after falling from the sixth floor of a building in Mumbai, according to police reports on Monday.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Sunday at Aqua Gem Tower on Nesbit Road in the Mazgaon area of south Mumbai, an official stated.
Mustafa Ibrahim Chunawala was discovered unconscious on the third-floor podium of the building, the official added.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and transported Chunawala to Saifee Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The official noted that Chunawala suffered from somnambulism, commonly known as sleepwalking.
The Byculla police have recorded the incident as an accidental death and are investigating the matter.
