Over 1100 Constables to Be Recruited Across Thane, Palghar, MBVV, and Navi Mumbai Police Units

Thane, 18th June 2024: A recruitment campaign to hire over 1100 constables across Thane, Palghar, MBVV, and Navi Mumbai police units will commence on June 19, as announced by a senior official on Monday.

Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Milind Bharambe, Thane Additional Police Commissioner (Administration) Sanjay Jadhav, and Palghar Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil provided details of the recruitment drive.

The Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar police unit has 231 constable positions, with 8,423 applications received—6,900 from men and 1,523 from women.

“In Thane, there are 661 constable positions, and we have received 38,078 applications. Of these, 30,155 are from men and 7,923 from women. Additionally, there are 20 driver positions for which we received 1,527 applications—1,408 from men and 119 from women. In Palghar, 59 constable posts have garnered 3,577 applications,” the official stated.

“For Navi Mumbai, 185 constable positions received 5,984 applications, including 4,622 from men and 1,362 from women,” he added. The selection process will include physical tests, written examinations, and interviews.
