Navi Mumbai Electrician Arrested with Rs 6.5 Lakh Worth of Drugs in Taloja

Navi Mumbai, 8th June 2024: A 28-year-old man from Taloja in Navi Mumbai has been apprehended by the police for allegedly carrying mephedrone drugs valued at Rs 6.5 lakh, as per an official statement on Saturday.

The individual in question, identified as Mobin Mehboob Khan and professionally employed as an electrician, was taken into custody around 10 pm on Friday.

According to the official, a team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Navi Mumbai police observed Khan behaving suspiciously on the ground in Patale village on Friday night. Upon searching, the police discovered Khan in possession of 65 grams of mephedrone (MD), valued at Rs. 6,50,000.

A case has been filed against Khan under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act at the Taloja police station on Saturday, the official informed.
