Mumbai, 1st July 2024: Cricket fans across India took to the streets late at night to celebrate the nation’s victory over South Africa in the T20 World Cup finals. Videos circulating online show jubilant crowds dancing and cheering as they revel in India’s long-awaited win.

Fireworks lit up the sky, the Indian tricolour waved high, and fans danced with abandon to drum beats on various streets.

In viral visuals, fans can be seen celebrating and cheering for Team India after they lifted their second T20 World Cup trophy by defeating South Africa.

Grand celebrations unfolded, with thousands gathering to mark the moment India had been waiting for over 13 years. Scenes from Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, where a massive crowd raised the tricolour and chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ went viral on social media.

At Mumbai airport, an unusual sight unfolded as passengers danced to dhols to celebrate the victory. Posters congratulating Team India were also displayed at the airport.

In Hyderabad, fans celebrated uniquely by running along the RTC X road with the Indian flag.

India triumphed over South Africa in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, winning by 7 runs. Rohit Sharma and his team brought home an ICC trophy after 11 years, marking India’s first World Cup win since 2011.
