The incident took place around 4:30 am as three friends, including Karan Ravindra Gharat (23), Sushant Narayan Thakur (32), and Rahul Hanumant Pawar (32), were driving towards Vashi in a Honda City.

The vehicle, allegedly speeding, lost control at a turn, rolling approximately 60 feet before colliding with trees on the divider and ultimately crossing over it.

Gharat has been charged with rash and negligent driving, leading to Pawar’s death. According to police reports, Pawar was employed at a private firm, whereas Gharat and Thakur are business owners.
