Amitabh Bachchan Invests Rs 59.58 Crore in Mumbai Office Spaces; 3.57 Crore Stamp Duty

Mumbai, 26th June 2024: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly invested in new office spaces in Mumbai, with the transaction officially recorded on June 20. The deal involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 3.57 crore.

According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan has acquired three office units valued at Rs 59.58 crore in Mumbai’s Signature Building on Veera Desai Road, Andheri. These units, numbered 2701, 2801, and 2901, come with three designated car parking spaces.

Documents reveal that Bachchan purchased a total of 8,429 sq ft from Veer Savarkar Projects Pvt Ltd.

The actor completed the transaction by paying a stamp duty of Rs 3.57 crore, as per records filed on June 20, 2024.

In addition to his Mumbai investments, Amitabh Bachchan has also acquired a plot in The Sarayu, a prestigious mixed-use enclave in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, developed by Mumbai-based The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). Insider sources mentioned in the report indicate that the plot spans approximately 10,000 square feet, with Bachchan reportedly paying around Rs 14.5 crore for the purchase. The Sarayu enclave covers an expansive 51 acres.

Commenting on this acquisition, Bachchan expressed his anticipation, stating, “I am looking forward to this association with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have created an emotional bond that transcends geographical boundaries.”

He emphasized that this marks the beginning of a significant journey into Ayodhya’s essence, where tradition harmoniously blends with modernity, resonating deeply with him.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, featuring a stellar cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is scheduled to premiere on June 27.
