Abhishek Bachchan Acquires Six Apartments in Mumbai’s Borivali for Rs 15.42 Crore
Mumbai, 19th June 2024: Actor Abhishek Bachchan has acquired six apartments in Mumbai’s Borivali area for a total of Rs 15.42 crore. These properties are part of the Oberoi Sky City project developed by Oberoi Realty. Together, these apartments span 4,894 sq ft, with an average purchase price of Rs 31,498 per sq ft. The transaction was finalized in May.
The registration details reveal that the first apartment, with a carpet area of 1,101 sq ft, was purchased for Rs 3.42 crore. The second and third apartments, each 252 sq ft in size, were acquired for Rs 79 lakh each. The fourth apartment, covering 1,101 sq ft, was bought for Rs 3.52 crore, while the fifth, spanning 1,094 sq ft, cost Rs 3.39 crore. The sixth apartment was also acquired for Rs 3.39 crore.
Located on the 57th floor of a high-rise building along the Western Express Highway (WEH) in Borivali East, these apartments have received an occupation certificate. Notably, in August 2021, Abhishek had sold another apartment in Worli, developed by the same builder, for Rs 45.75 crore, which he had originally purchased in 2014 for over Rs 41 crore. Interestingly, Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Kapoor also own a unit in the same building.
Despite his real estate investments, Abhishek continues to reside with his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, at their residence, Jalsa, in Juhu. In a 2023 interview with Raj Shamani, Abhishek expressed his preference for living with his parents, emphasizing the importance of family amidst the fast-paced life in Mumbai.
After much anticipation, it was recently confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan will star in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming slice-of-life film, putting an end to the speculations surrounding his next project.
